About Us
In the vicinity of any engineering institute we find loads of stores for stationery, xerox and so on. Okay, now what about stores for electronic and electrical components?Easy question .Imagine if you could avoid investing your valuable time in travelling all the way to SP Road and then numerous stores to buy what you need. Turning this imagination to reality was the seed that germinated into our start-up called Komponente (German word for components) and was launched on 24th July 2013.
Komponente has three major sectors- Retail, Product Development & Outreach.
Under Retail, we manage a retail chain of the most frequently used electronic and electrical components in projects. This service started off for PESITians only, but has been expanded to colleges all over Bangalore. The order is delivered to customers via DTDC courier service.
Under Product Development, we develop cost effective products to improve the quality of life. We are developing a smart and cost effective product to solve some problems faced by the visually impaired.We’re also working on modules and development boards. Work in progress!
Conducting Workshops is part of our outreach programme. We believe in having more hands on sessions so that students have a better learning experience and by initiating this in schools and colleges, we take a step forward to achieve our goal of encouraging an inquisitive nature among students. Reaching out to various institutions at different levels is essential for the learning and sharing to be a continuous process.
